  • The last step to setting up the diagram below is to configure Routing and Translation Tables so the call can go through. Note in the diagram that in order to make a call from the IP Phone to the SJPhone the user would have to dial 508 and then four numbers after that. In the other direction the SJPhone would need to dial 617 and then any numbers after that. Follow procedure below.

  • To create a route table entries that will route the call you must first create the route table. Right Click on Routing Configuration and select New Route Tables. The Route Table object pane just created will allow you to create multiple Route Tables each with multiple Route Table Entries. No information is entered in this pane.

  • Route Table is named RouteTable1. See screen capture below.

  • Right Click on the Route Table and select Add Route Entry. This entry will be for calling from the IP phone to the SJPhone. The route entry pane will appear. See Below.

Calls can be routed lots of different ways. In this example select Dialed Number from the drop down menu. We will route this call when a specific number is dialed. See IMG 1010 - Route Entry for more information on the Route Entry Pane.

  • Once the Route Entry that routes the call from the IP Phone is completed, right click on the Route Table and add a second route table entry. Use the screen capture below to add in the fields. This route entry is for Outgoing only on Channel Group Pingtel.


     

  • The last step is to create the Translation Tables. In this example there will be no translation. The translation table is created so that treatments can be played on specific numbers etc. Right Click on Routing Configuration and select New Incoming Translation Tables. This object is a placeholder for multiple translation tables. No information needs to be entered here. This is for incoming translations to the Pingtel Channel group only.

  • Right Click on the Translation Tables object just created and select New Translation Table. Enter a name which describes this table. In this example it is called TransTable1

  • Right Click on the Translation Table just created and select New Translation Entry. See screen capture Below.

  • The route tables and translation tables are now configured to complete a call from the IP Phone to the SJPhone and also from the SJPhone to the IP Phone. From the IP phone you would dial dial 508-xxxx and call will be routed to the SJPhone. SJPhone From the SJPhone you would dial dial 617-xxxx and IP Phone will be routed to the IP Phone.

  • The next task would be to configure the IP channel groups. Go to IMG 1010 - Configure Channel Groups for IP Phones to accomplish this.
