SNMP Manager

The IMG 2020 can be configured as an SNMP Manager. An SNMP Manager is an application that performs the operational roles of generating requests to modify and retrieve management information as well as receiving the requested information and trap-event reports that are generated by the SNMP agent. The SNMP manager provides the interface between the human network manager and the management system. SNMP management applications such as Castlerock (SNMPc), and AdRem can be used and have been verified to function with the IMG 2020. The IMG 2020 however, is not limited to the SNMP manager applications mentioned above, other SNMP applications can be used.
