 Hostname Change

Note

NOTE: The Hostname of the SBC’s should Primary SBC must be changed and must be unique than peer i.e. Secondary SBC before HA is configured on both the systemsit.

Steps to follow while modifying hostname:

  1. Goto Configuration>IP Settings>Network and click on Edit under Network section.

  2. Update the host name and save the changes.

  3. Now click on Apply Network and after applying, click on Restart Network.

  4. Once the Network is restarted, we need to reboot the SBC in order to change the hostname.

Note

NOTE: If the SBC’s are not Primary SBC must be restarted after Hostname changes, then HA will not sync and HA will not work properlythe Hostname change to continue with further HA config. It is mandatory to restart Primary SBC at this point.

NOTE: It is required to use a direct connection between servers for the dedicated interface. This interface needs to be on the same port for both machines , and needs to be connected before copying the configuration to the Secondary server.  For example: If you use Eth4 on the Primary Server, use Eth4 on the Secondary Server.
