Switchvox must be running version 7.6.3 or later.
You can check your version of Switchvox by logging into https://CompanyURL.digiumcloud.net/main and selecting About Switchvox from the dropdown menu in the top right hand corner, where it says Welcome.
Updates are scheduled automatically. The company admin of record will receive email notification when this is scheduled for your service.
An appropriate SMS Route must be configured for the user.
With Switchvox Cloud version 7.6.3, the default configuration will automatically work for most users. However, administrators may wish to make adjustments. Please refer to this article for more information, How To Change SMS Routes in Switchvox Cloud.

Use the Switchvox Desktop Softphone
The Switchvox Desktop Softphone is the best way to SMS on Switchvox! Users who already have access to the Desktop Softphone will be able to SMS after a quick application update on their workstation. For more information about this application, including how an administrator can enable it for a user, please refer to Overview of Desktop Softphone Updates in Cloud 7.6.3.
Use the Switchvox Chat Mobile App
The Switchvox Chat mobile apps are available for use by all Switchvox Cloud users, and do not require additional admin configuration, as is the case with the Desktop Softphone or Sangoma Connect Mobile. In order to SMS using the mobile app, the service still must be on version 7.6.3 or later, and the user must have an SMS Route configured, both described above.
