Take a backup of the system, in case there is a need to restore and offload that backup off the server, steps are found HERE
If you have to process through multiple upgrades, take a backup after each successful one.
It is not necessary to step through all of the versions. We will provide a step through guide later in this article.
The following versions have been patched to resolve the issue:
5.12
6.8
7.6.2
If you are on a version 5.x, you must upgrade to 5.12
If you are on a version 6.x, you must upgrade to 6.8
If you are on a version 7.x, you must upgrade to at least 7.6.2 (if you're already above that, then your system will be fine.)

NOTE: We suggest you only update to the highest version within the version group your server is already on. |
For example, if you are in version group 5.x only update to 5.12, if you are in version group 6.x, update to 6.8 and don't attempt to migrate to version 7 in order to get in a working status as quickly as possible. After that you can attempt to move to a higher version group if your hardware allows for it.
Sangoma Technical Support will not be able to assist in going from one version group to a higher version group from 4/28 - 6/1
Upgrading a system:
You do not need to step through all of the available updates to get to the corrected version.
