VoIP Trunks require specific ports open on your firewall in order to operate normally. Please read about Port Forwarding.
Click on Options --> voip
Using the information supplied by your VoIP Provider, fill in the following fields:
Route Name
Username
Password
Provider / Type (SIP or IAX2)
Register (yes or no)
Server (typically a URL or IP)
Click Add VoIP Account
To place calls over the VoIP trunk, you must modify the dialplans to use the VoIP trunk. See How do I edit an existing dial plan?
If your VoIP account requires advanced configuration (e.g. DTMF, audio codec priority, etc.) click the + symbol next to the word Advanced to access additional configuration options.
