Provisioning

Provisioning CICs is achieved through the Circuit Group object under the SS7 Channel Group object. There are a couple of different ways of provisioning the SS7 CICs. For additional information on the functionality below, refer to the SS7 - CIC topic. The functionality below The procedures are described below.

  1. Within the Object Table Tab at the bottom of the SS7 CIC object is a list of CICs within that channel group. Highlight the 1st CIC in the range of CICs to be provisioned.

  2. Hold down the <SHIFT> key on the keyboard and select the last CIC in the range of CICs to be provisioned. All the CICs between these two selections will automatically be selected.

  3. Right Click anywhere within the highlighted area and a list of provisioning options will appear. Select the desired operation to perform on all the selected CICs. The desired operation will now occur on all the CICs selected. Refer to screen capture below where CIC ID's 1 - 5 were selected and are to be brought Out Of Service.

  4. OPTIONAL: The selection of the CICs can also be achieved in a random pattern as well as a range of CICs. Highlight the first CIC to be provisioned. Hold down the <Ctrl> key on the keyboard and click on a second CIC anywhere in the list. This will highlight both CICs. Right Click and select one of the provisioning operations and that operation will occur on both CICs selected. This can be done with multiple CICs.
