The SS7 Circuit Group is a collection of DS-1's and DS-0's that are configured by a user as a CIC Group. These CIC groups all reside on one specific node. The SS7 Circuit Group has a starting and ending Span/Channel (DS-1/DS-0). Each Span/Channel combination is assigned a CIC number and the IMG 2020 references them as CIC numbers. To create an SS7 Circuit Group, right click on an ISUP Group object and select New SS7 Circuit Group. See below for more information.

The SS7 Circuit Group is configured twice within the Web GUI. First, the SS7 Circuit Group or Groups are configured under the ISUP Group object. Multiple SS7 Circuit Groups can be configured under the ISUP Group. Once the SS7 Circuit Group is created, the circuit group must be linked to either an incoming or outgoing Channel Group. To do this, a second Circuit Group is created under a Channel Group being configured for the SS7 protocol. Right click on the SS7 Channel Group and select New Circuit Group. In this Circuit Group object, select the Span/Channels that will be utilized in that specific channel group.
