Configuring Multiple Remote IMG's for SS7

Once all Stacks ,Link Sets, Links, and Routes are configured, the CIC's can be created. The CIC's are created under the channel group object. See Channel Group topic on information on how to create a channel group. Follow procedure below to create the cics and associate them with a specific IMG.

  • Create an SS7 Channel Group

  • Under Channel Group 0 object right click and select New ISUP group. In the OPC-DPC field select from drop down menu which Stack/Route to be used.

  • Under Channel Group 1 object create an ISUP group which contains CIC's for Secondary IMG1.

All Channel Groups are created. Each Channel Group is routed to a different point in the SS7 network. It could be an STP, SDP, etc. The above example is a basic SS7 network to give the user an understanding of how to configure SS7 Stacks, CIC's, Channel Groups etc.
