Cause Codes indicate the reason for call failure or call completion. Typically, cause code values range from 0 to 127. The IMG 2020 uses the cause codes for functions such as routing a call, playing announcements, manipulating cause code values, and releasing calls. The Cause Code Table object creates a database of cause code table element/entries. Each element/entry created under the Cause Code Table object depicts what to do when receiving a certain cause code. The IMG 2020 supports functions such as mapping cause codes, routing on a cause code, and configuring a specific channel to release a call when receiving that cause code.
