  • If you receive a Warning that the file might be harmful, Select Download anyway.

• After file is downloaded click OPEN when prompted.

• You may be required to change your Security Setting to allow unknown apps to be installed.

Warning: If you are required to change Security Setting to allow unknown apps to be installed, it is highly recommended to reset your Security Setting to NOT unknown apps to be installed after you have installed this app.

• If you missed the initial prompt to open the downloaded file follow the steps below.

  • Find and open your My Files App.

  • Navigation the Download folder.

  • Find and click on Star2Star Text Messaging.apk.

Desktop Applications

Note: The StarPhone for Desktop application is our legacy desktop softphone application and is no longer available for download. We recommend using the TeamHub Talk app within our TeamHub application. For more information reference the TeamHub User Guide.

Our desktop applications can be downloaded from the Business Voice Portal.

• Log in to the Business Voice portal (Business Voice Portal).

• If you have Administrator rights you may need to select a location.

① Select the Individual Phone Settings option in the left side panel and the the Individual Phone Settings page opens.

② From the “You are currently modifying settings for extension:” drop-down list, select the appropriate extension for the desired application.

Example: Select the extension that is assigned a Softphone in order to download the softphone application.

③ APPLICATION FRAMEWORK (Legacy)

• It is required that you Read and Accept the End User license Agreement (EULA), located under each application, before the download link will appear.

  • Click the appropriate Accept Windows EULA or Accept MAC EULA to review and accept the EULA.

  • After accepting the EULA the “Star2Star Download [windows]” and “Star2Star Download [mac]” links will appear.

• Select the appropriate link (Windows or Mac) for the type of PC the application will be installed on. The system will download the appropriate Install file.

• Click on the downloaded file to complete the installation.

• Select the appropriate link (Windows or Mac) for the type of PC the application will be installed on. The system will download the appropriate Install file.
