IMG 1010 - Creating a Route Table
The Route Criteria Type list below displays the criteria that are supported on the IMG for routing a call.
Route Criteria Type |
Dialed Number Originating Number Channel Group Called Nature Of Address (NOA) Calling Nature Of Address (NOA) Forward Call Indicator M-Bit (FCI) Multimedia Call |
IMPORTANT NOTE:
On the IMG, the route tables can be downloaded using one of two methods. The two methods are described below.
Method 1
The Route Table created will not get sent to the IMG unless the Save Route Table button displayed below is clicked on. Simply committing or clicking off the object DOES NOT download the table. After the Route Table has been modified, click the Save Route Table button.
Method 2
In ClientView if a route table has been modified, both the modified object and its parent object will display a cached icon. The cached icon indicates modifications to the route table have been made but not sent to the IMG. When done with all of the changes, select an object outside of the parent object and the table will be downloaded.

Creating a Route Table
Right-click on the Routing Configuration and select New Routing Tables.
Right-click on Routing Tables and select New Route Table. The Route Table pane appears.
Enter a descriptive name in the Name field.
In the Routing Criteria Order field you specify the order in which the router searches the available criteria types. To change a location in the list, click the item you are moving and then click the Up or Down button. When finished ordering, click OK.
The router searches the list in the arrange items dialog box from top to bottom and uses the first criteria type for which it finds a match. Arrange the criteria types in a sequence that is most appropriate for your specific call processing needs. For example, if the primary routing criteria is Dialed Number and the next criteria type based on importance is Channel Group, position Dialed Number in the first position and Channel Group in the second position. This helps to ensure proper processing and improves routing performance. The IMG ignores any criteria type that is not defined. See the pane reference for more details.
