Logging In

You can log into the unit using Telnet or a Serial connection. Below is how to do both using Putty.

Telnet Login

 

Serial Login

Baud rate 115200, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no flow control.

 

Welcome Screen

The default username and password are admin/sangoma which are shown above. 

 

Main Menu

Once logged into the unit you will see the main menu above. Ensure when you log out once you are done. If you do not do this it may cause issues logging back into the device.  

 

1 - System Management

Status

General unit stats are shown on this page.  

 

Configuration

This page allows you to configure your IP settings as well as view your MAC Address and Telnet Password.
 

2 - Channel Interface

Menu

Channel Interface allows you to configure the E1/T1 side of the Mux.

Media Type

The media type can either be T1 or E1.


Channel Status

The channel status page shows the layer 1 status of each E1/T1 connected to the unit. 
Note:  * Means there is a signal detected on the RJ45 port. 


Channel Configuration

The channel configuration page shows the layer 1 status of each E1/T1 connected to the unit. You can select "a" to Set for All Spans and you will be given the option to set the Line Coding and Clock as shown below. 


Channel Loopback 



This shows the loopback status of each interface, in the screen shots above there is no loopback command enabled. To enable a loopback select "a" for Set ALL Spans and you will get the screen below to enable the loopback of your choice.

3 - Uplink Interface

Menu

Uplink Interface allows you to configure the fiber side of the Mux.

 

Uplink Status

The status page shows the alarms of each framer with in the unit. 


Uplink Configuration

You can select either a SDH or a SONET link type.

Uplink Loopback 

Here you can select the loop back type that you will set on the fiber link. 
 

4 - Utilities 

These utilities allow you to go back to default settings as well as restart the system module.
