Sangoma Meet V5.5 Release Notes - May 16, 2024

Introduction

We are excited to announce that Sangoma Meet Version 5.5 is now available. This release includes the following:

New Features

• Feature 1 - Transcription Accuracy Improvement:
  We have enhanced our AI APIs for transcription, improving accuracy and reliability. These changes ensure more precise results, meeting higher performance standards and exceeding user expectations

• Feature 2 - Change in size, color and positioning of Transcription:
  Users can now go to Transcription settings by clicking on the drop down menu against the “cc” icon.

• Feature 3 - Carplay and Android Auto Integration:
  Sangoma Meet now integrates with CarPlay and Android Auto, enabling hands-free access to its features. This enhances usability for on-the-go users, providing safer and more convenient in-car communication

Bug Fixes

• Bug Fix 1 - User Logout Issue in Sangoma Meet:
  Users reported frequent automatic logouts from Sangoma Meet. This release addressed and resolved the issue, ensuring that users will no longer be logged out automatically.

• Bug Fix 2 - Connection Failure to Sangoma Meet via Web in Australia:
  We have resolved the issue that prevented users in Australia from connecting to Sangoma Meet via the web platform.

• Bug Fix 3 - Indefinitely Expanding Subtitle Window:
  The issue where the Closed Captions (CC) window expanded indefinitely if a user was speaking continuously has been resolved. The subtitle window will now function correctly.

• Bug Fix 4 - Infinity Loop experience in Desktop app:
  We have resolved the infinite loop issue in the Desktop app. When users share their screen, the app will now automatically minimize to prevent the infinite loop experience.

Known Issues

Issue 1: Default meeting not configured message is displayed only to BV premium & standard users

Issue 2: Transcription panel losing phrases.

Issue 3: Video setting issues on MAC computer: Some users are not able to set the video quality as HD in Sangoma Meet.
