The Sangoma Phone API lets you build custom apps for your phones using the popular programming language JavaScript. And the Sangoma Phone App Engine interprets and executes this JavaScript code.
If you have done any web development, you have probably dabbled in JavaScript. If so, you're already halfway there in learning how to write a custom app for your Sangoma Phones.

Note: The Sangoma Phone App Engine is based on the Chrome V8 Engine, which supports all ECMAScript 5 standards.
