IP Traffic Management Element

IP Traffic Management, also called Call Admission Control, gives the IMG 2020 the ability to limit the number of simultaneous calls that can be active between an IP Network Element (External Gateway) and a SIP Channel Group configured on the IMG 2020. IP traffic limits are applied to the combined total of incoming and outgoing calls per channel group. To create the IP Traffic Management Element object, right click on the IP Traffic Management object and select New IP Traffic Manage Element.

Dialogic > Security > IP Traffic Management > New IP Traffic Management Element

Maximum Objects

1,024 Traffic Management elements per IP Traffic Management object.

Related Topics and Dependencies

The IP Traffic Management Element is created under the IP Traffic Management object. The IP Traffic Management Element gives the IMG 2020 the ability to monitor and limit the traffic between a IMG 2020 and one or more external SIP network elements such as a SIP Gateway. (The SIP Gateway must first be configured as an External Network Element). The configured SIP Gateways must then be associated with a SIP Channel Group by being added to the channel group through the IP Network Element object. Refer to the IP Network Element object topic link below.

Traffic Restrictions are upheld in both ingress and egress directions.
