ENUM Server

The IMG 2020 supports ENUM E2U+sip (E.164 to URI) to resolve an ENUM telephone number into a SIP URI. The IMG 2020 accepts a call and converts it into the E.164 format and sends it to the ENUM Server being configured to be translated/mapped to a SIP URI format. The ENUM Server then returns the translated number in a format the IMG 2020 can interpret and the call eventually is transmitted out of the IMG 2020 as a SIP call. The ENUM server object configures the parameters needed to communicate with the IMG 2020. To create the ENUM Server object, right click on the ENUM Server Set object and selectNew ENUM Server. Once the ENUM Server Set and ENUM Servers are configured, they can be assigned to the IP Network Element of a SIP Channel Group.

Related Topics and Dependencies

Before creating the ENUM Server object, a ENUM Server Set and SIP Signaling Gateway Profile (SGP) must first be configured. The SIP Signaling Gateway Profile will be the profile used when sending and receiving messaging to all the ENUM Servers configured under the ENUM Server Set object. After configuring the ENUM Server Set, then each individual ENUM Server is configured under it. The ENUM Server Set is then added to the IP Network Element of a SIP Channel Group.
