Dialogic Media Gateway - How to enable T.38 network capture on DMG1000 & 2000
Symptom
The Dialogic 1000 Media Gateways and Dialogic 2000 Media Gateways (collectively "DMG Gateways") capture only SIP packets and do not capture RTP & T.38 packets.
Solution
The RTP capture setting is filtered out on each LAN interface on the DMG Gateways by default. To capture RTP & T.38 via network capture, uncheck the RTP field in 'Filter Out Selected Protocols' of Diagnostics > Trace/Logging in the web interface.
For example, on LAN1.
NOTE
If the DMG Gateway reboots, this setting will be filtered out again. Since DMG Gateways have a limited trace buffer, RTP & T.38 capture should not be enabled for a long time otherwise the trace buffer will be filled quickly.
