How to generate a report file
Diva Support Assistant utility generates information about the current installation environment. The generated file includes information about:
what Driver version is installed
the Kernel version of Linux running on the system
what other PCI cards are installed in the system
important information about the Diva Media board(s) starting up
the current Diva configuration
Since the Diva driver gets restarted during the process, it is advised to stop any CAPI or TTY using applications before starting the Support Assistant.
To start the Support Assistant go to the /usr/lib/opendiva/divas directory and enter
./Support
The following screen will then be displayed.Â
Â
Â
Select 'Yes' to continue. The next screen will show the options for generating the report file. Note that if you are using an older version of drivers, all of the options shown below may not appear.Â
In general, always select the first option "Driver Start Failed" even if the driver has started correctly, since this option provides the most useful level of information without generating a file that is too large.Â
A file called report.txt will be created in the /usr/lib/opendiva/divas directory.Â
During the process, you may get the following message:
Â
It is possible that your system will stop to respond. Please reboot in this case and use /usr/lib/eicon/divas/report.txt' file for your support request.
Normally the system does not have to restart, but if the Linux server is unstable then a restart may be triggered.
Please provide this report.txt with your support request.
