JCT Software Update - Sangoma System Release 6.0 PCI Windows

Windows 10®, Windows Server 2008® , Windows Server 2012®, Windows Server 2016®, Windows Server 2019®, Windows Server 2022®, and Windows 11® Pro.

The System Release 6.0 PCI Windows Service Update 280 is the latest Service Update with exclusive support for boards that are part of the Springware architecture, a.k.a JCT Products. It adds support for Windows Server 2019/22, and Windows 11 Pro. Its footprint is greatly reduced from previous Service Updates as it removes EOL products and technologies.

Note that DM3/IPT/DI and other End-of-Life previous and related architectures are no longer supported and will not load with this Service Update SW. Any application that has dependency on those components will not load.

This Service Update Installer Software comes in two Setup formats as shown below. See Release Notes for guidelines on when to choose one or the other format:

Bootstrap Setup Format: SystemReleaseJCT.exe
This format bundles the System Release SW Windows Installer package (.msi) and the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 with Visual C++ Version 8.0 Service Pack 1 Runtime Redistributable package (VCRedist), which is a dependency to the Runtime Package.

Windows Installer Setup Format: SystemReleaseJCT.msi
This format provides all the flexibility of Microsoft Windows Installer; however it lacks the VCRedist.

Both Setup formats consist of the Core Runtime Package (which also contains all ISDN protocols), SNMP Package, Global Call Protocols Package, SW Development Package containing all the software required to build applications, and Demos (sample code) Package. The Setup Custom Options dialog allows for the selection of individual packages. The Windows Installer format can be used for silent-mode installations, and even bundled into an end-customer package.

The System Release 6.0 Patch is used to package fixes to bugs found in a major Service Update, and are made available from time to time. A new Patch supersedes any previous Patch(s).

Windows Installer Update (Patch): SystemReleaseJCTPatch.msp

• This patch corrects a bug introduced in the SU 280 that prevented running the RTFManager and DMC Java utilities.

• It applies to any systems which had previously installed the "Runtime" component for the System Release 6.0 PCI Windows Service Update 280.

• To install this Patch, just download it to a local directory and click on the msp file, or from an Elevated cmd prompt execute: C:\Downloads>msiexec.exe /update SystemReleaseJCTPatch.msp

• Complete the installation and either accept the reboot at the end of it or else the reboot can be deferred to a later system downtime.

Note: Once installed, the Patch will NOT be listed in the Programs and Features, even if View Install Updates option is enabled; the Patch becomes an integral part of the parent Sangoma System Release 6.0 PCI Package.
