Dialogic Voice Cards - Patch for revised CG 6060/6565 boards to work correctly with CAS AMI
Description of Change
A design change has been made to the PCI and Compact PCI versions of the Dialogic® CG 6060 Series Media Boards and Dialogic® CG 6565 Series Media Boards. This change was made to replace an end-of-life component (the T1/E1/J1 framer chip) and requires a software patch to operate correctly for CAS AMI signaling.
Impact of Change and Recommended Action
This design change should not have any other negative functional implications to customers of the affected products. However, CG Series customers using CAS signaling with a line code selection of AMI or AMI-ZCS must download and install a patch in order to be able to make and receive calls correctly.
The required modifications are made in patch 6263 for Dialogic® NaturalAccess™ Development Environment Release 2005-1 (all service packs) and patch 6277 for NaturalAccess Release 8.0. No patch is required for NaturalAccess Release 8.1. Links to the patch files are provided at the bottom of this article.
Product Markings
The revision of the test level part number for the affected products will be incremented by one (refer to the affected products table below). The following labels illustrate how the test level (i.e., the part number “PN”) and revision (denoted as “Rev”) are displayed on the label of the affected products.
