Managing SSH Keys

SSH Keys are loaded into the M3 Server, and then linked to groups.  The M3 Server has its own key, which is not changeable and is generated on installation.

This key is automatically deployed to all M3 Clients.  To add additional user keys, click on 'Add SSH Key' and paste the new SSH Key in. You may optionally enter a name, but if you don't, it will be taken from the name of the key.

If the key is validated, it will be added to the SSH page, and may then be linked to groups.  If you receive an error 'Key failed in-depth validation. Bad Paste?' it often means that you have accidentally pasted your key in as several lines. You may wish to try pasting it into a text editor first, to ensure that it's only being added as one line.

You may now select the new key and assign it to any groups. All keys are, by default, added to the 'Default' group, but may be removed.
