Pairing your MCU with your FreePBX system

To pair your Sangoma MCU, you will need to have the MCU powered on and have a static IP address assigned to it.

Installing the Sangoma MCU Module 

  • Log into your FreePBX Server and navigate to the Module Admin module.

    • In the top menu go to Admin

    • In the drop-down menu go to Module Admin

  • Make sure you have the Sangoma MCU module installed from the Commercial Modules repository. Verify that the Commercial Module repo is enabled and then click the Check Online button. Then scroll down to find the Sangoma MCU module.

  • Verify it's installed and updated to the most current version. If not, install and/or update it by following the process described in the Module Admin User Guide.

Pairing the PBX with a Sangoma MCU device

  • Navigate to the Sangoma MCU module.

    • In the top menu go to Admin

    • In the drop-down go to Sangoma MCU
       

  • If you have not yet paired an MCU, you will see the following screen:

  • Click the Pair MCU button to proceed.
     

  • This will bring up a screen asking for the IP address of your MCU that you want to pair with.

    • MCU URL: The URL to the MCU device

    • Requires API token: Yes/No - Whether this connection requires an API token

    • API Token: If required, provide the API token that is configured in the Sangoma MCU Web Administration Interface

  • When finished, click the Submit button, then click the Apply Config button.
