FAX Support - How to download the complete Voicemail/Fax archive from an extension.

Switchvox will allow you to download a complete Voicemail/Fax archive from an extension. From the downloaded archive you can directly access any voicemails in .wav format, or access any faxes that were stored on the users extension. This will not delete or modify the Voicemail/Fax files on the extension, it just copies them. Before following this guide, we recommend making a backup of your current configuration.

1. Log into the Switchvox as an Administrator.

2. Navigate to Setup-Extensions-Manage.

3. Next to the extension that you want to extract the Voicemail/Fax archive from, press the red X (Delete). This will not immediately delete the extension.

4. You will be presented with an Admin Edit Extension screen. Choose the blue Download Voicemail/Fax Archive button. ​

5. Choose a location to save the archive.

6. Now you may click back on your internet browser bar or navigate away from the page. Do not choose Yes-Delete Extension, or you will permanently delete the extension.

7. All of the Voicemail/Fax files for the extension will now be located in the archive that you saved.
