FAX Support - Why do emails sent to my efax server get an error message?

Usually when sending an efax (FAX Support - How do I send out a virtual fax? ) or your Switchvox cloud service you will send an email to the efax server, which will generate a fax outbound.

Sometimes you may receive an error similar to "A problem occurred while delivering this message to this email address. Try sending this message again. If the Problem continues, please contact your helpdesk." and "Remote Server Returned '< #5.0.0 X-Unix; 255>."

This is usually caused by various signature links at the bottom of emails.

If you have any links or icons attached to your email signature, be sure to remove them before sending an email to the efax server.
