FAX Support - What do I do when I'm unable to register FAX or G.729 license due to a EULA error?

When attempting to register a fax or g.729 license, sometimes you will see an error "There was an error gathering registration requirements. There was an error retrieving the product EULA from the registration server."

In order to resolve this issue, follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to Server>Networking>IP Configuration

  2. Set Allow NAT Port Forwarding to Yes

  3. Click Look Up External IP

  4. Click Save IP Configuration

Note: This will cause the network to restart and will drop any current calls on the system.

After registering your licenses, you can go back and disable Allow NAT Port Forwarding if desired.

If the above does not work, please be sure your DNS servers can resolve register.digium.com as well as verify ports 80/443 TCP traffic is open for the Switchvox.
