FAX Support - How to adjust the minimum or maximum rate for fax transmissions
Adjusting the Min/Max transmission rate changes how fast fax signals are sent or received by your system and can be done in two ways.
On your FXO Channel group settings
On your Extension
The first is a rare scenario where you may be using an FXO card to send your faxes. Under Setup -> Call Routing -> Channel Groups you can modify your channel group settings and in the advanced options either raise or lower your rates accordingly.
The second is used when you are using the fax module software provided by or purchased from Sangoma. Once logged into your extension go to Voice mail and Fax -> Fax Options -> Sending/Receiving -> Advanced Options and you will have the ability to alter the rates here.
Common reasons to adjust max transmission rate are:
Time outs
Premature Hang Up
Faxes not sending
Lowering the transmission rate can often help with these problems.
