Table of Contents
What is a virtual fax service?
Virtual fax services are able to send and receive faxes without a traditional fax machine. A virtual fax will use your email to send and receive faxes to and from other parties. You can also use your web browser to send and receive faxes.
Virtual faxes use the internet to carry faxes. No fax machine, paper, ink, or analog telephone line required.
How do I setup my virtual fax service?
Complete your onboarding wizard. The onboarding wizard allows you to specify the email address that is authorized to send and receive faxes.
After your service is activated, you will receive an email with your virtual fax phone number, authorized email address on file, username and password to access the virtual fax web interface (not required).
You can now begin to use your virtual fax service!

How many email addresses can I use with my virtual fax service?
A maximum of 3 email addresses per fax phone number is supported for OUTBOUND faxes.
During onboarding, you specify the primary authorized email address. If you need to add additional email addresses, contact Sangoma support at 256.724.3555.
For INBOUND faxes there is a maximum of 1 email address per fax phone number.
If you need to receive inbound faxes for more than 1 person, you can either purchase an additional fax phone number or use an email distribution list. Note: Using an email distribution list results in all parties receiving the same fax.
