Route by number dialed - multiple IVRs for calls incoming to different numbers - How do I?

This feature requires the Professional Edition or Call Center Edition version of PBXtra .

  1. Click AutoAnswer --> edit call menu

  2. Under the Add New Sequence section, select "After Step: 0, add new step: Go to ext/submenu by number dialed"

  3. Click Apply All Changes

  4. The Admin Panel refreshes and your new sequence appears as step #1 immediately after "Answer the incoming call"

  5. From the first drop-down menu within this new sequence, select a sub-menu or extension

  6. From the second drop-down menu within this new sequence, select one of the telephone numbers that you added to your PBXtra .  If no phone numbers appear in the drop-down, you will need to add them to your system.  Read How do I add a phone number to my system? for assistance adding DIDs (phone numbers) to your PBXtra

    1. Analog Lines do not function as described by Step 6.  With analog lines, you must route by the Card # Port # of the line within the AutoAnswer menu.  When you provision a Sangoma card for your system, the "route by number dialed" field automatically populates with entries such as Card 1 Port 1, Card 1 Port 2, etc.  Because the phone number is "attached" to the analog line, you must know which physical line is paired with which phone number.  Once your lines are connected, if you attach phone number 555-5555 to Line 3, and you want to route by this number, you would select Card 1 Port 3 from the "route by number dialed" drop-down.

Please see: Calls don't route properly if you're having trouble with call routing and analog lines.

  7. Click Apply All Changes
