Why is the time and date wrong on my phone?

Sometimes the time and date on the phones do not sync properly with your local time server. To get your phones to display the correct time and date, please follow the instructions below.

 

Polycom

  1. Press the "Menu" key on your phone.

  2. Using the arrow keys on your phone, scroll down to "Settings".

  3. Choose "Advanced".

  4. Enter the password "456" and press the "Enter" softkey.

  5. Select Admin Settings.

  6. Select Network Configuration.

  7. Scroll to the "SNTP Address".

  8. Press the "Edit" softkey, or press the button in the center of your arrow buttons.

  9. Click the 1/a/A softkey until the display in the UPPER RIGHT corner reads '1' for numeric input - if you forget this step, you will start entering letters.  If you enter letters, just press the blue del key to delete them, hit the numeric softkey, and start again.

  10. 10. Enter 164*67*62*194 (where * indicates the star key on the phone to the left of the 0 key).

  11. 11. Press "Save" or "Ok".

  12. 12. Scroll to GMT offset and enter your GMT offset (-5 EST, -6 CST, -7 MST, -8 PST).

  13. 13. Press "Save" or "Ok".

  14. 14. Exit all these menus until the phone either says 'save and reboot?' or simply goes back to the default LCD screen.  You should see the correct time if you entered all the settings correctly.
