Linux Commands & Log Files

A certain subset of the Fonality customer base has expressed interest in learning more technical information relating to Fonality's PBX offerings.

Fonality's official position is that every Fonality PBX sold should be simple to administrate - so simple in fact, that no Linux knowledge is required at all.

Therefore, in our official KB, we do not publish detailed instructions pertaining to the Linux Operating System or technical details about FONcore.

However, as we wish to cater to all customers, we recommend that any customer interested in Linux-specifics and FONcore specifics visit a non-Fonality website: www.voip-info.org

Voip-info is an extremely useful, community-maintained KB surrounding the underlying software that makes all Fonality PBXs work.

We caution you in advance that all of the information documented at http://voip-info.org is very technical.  If you are not comfortable with the Linux Operating System, and you have no intention of learning Linux, please search Fonality's official KB for the answers to your questions, and if you cannot find an appropriate answer, contact Fonality Support.

If you are comfortable with Linux, you will find a vast database of resources at Voip-info.  In fact, many Fonality technicians reference Voip-info when we encounter brand-new issues.  However, none of the content is controlled or influenced by Fonality, so not all of the information present applies to our particular system.
