Why don't my calls forward correctly?
Have you setup call forwarding for your extension?
Unlike Legacy PBX systems, there is no method of forwarding your calls directly from your phone.
In order to forward your calls, please perform the following steps:
Login to your User Panel via cp.fonality.com
Enter your Web Username and Web Password
Click on the Features tab
Click the radio button for 'forward my calls'
Enter the number where you wish to forward your calls
Have you configured your dial plans correctly?
Please read How do I edit an existing dial plan? for detailed instructions about configuring dial plans. If you are not the administrator of this system, please contact the person in charge in order to make these changes.
Do you have any available trunks?
Click on Status --> trunks
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to view a list of active channels
If the total number of active channels matches the total number of lines you have leased through your Provider, you should consider ordering additional trunks from your provider
Are your trunks up and active?
Click on Status --> trunks
Do you see red lights on any port displayed? Red status lights indicate a problem with your one of your trunks.
If you have a PRI - please contact your PRI provider first. Frequently issues with the PRI reside with your provider. If your Provider indicates that nothing is wrong, please contact Fonality support and we will gather evidence in order to work with the provider and resolve the issue.
If you have Analog lines - please hold your mouse over the red circle - a small window appears displaying the line voltage. If it says '0 volts' or 'no voltage' please contact your provider.
If you have a VoIP account - please click on Options --> voip and check the 'Status' of each VoIP account configured for your system. VoIP accounts will go down with your Internet connection or whenever your provider experiences incredibly high loads. Please keep in mind that VoIP is entirely dependent on the Internet for functionality. Any issue with your Internet connection will effect your VoIP connection.
