FAQs - Headsets

Below are Headset Frequently Asked Questions (for internal use only).

Q: Can the headsets be rented?

A: No, headsets can only be sold and will always be fulfilled with new stock.

Q: Are all headsets compatible with all phones?

A: No, While most of the phones in our portfolio offer the RJ-9 type connector for these headsets, certain phones are not compatible with the EHS functions of the wireless headsets. Please see the compatibility guide for more info.

Q: Are the adapters sold separately?

A: No, we are one of very few companies that include the needed headset adapter. These adapters can be up to a $50 add-on to headsets purchased elsewhere.

Q: Do we sell the adapter cables separately?

A: Yes we do have SKUs created so that the cables can be sold separately. If a customer has Avaya phones with Jabra headsets, they will only need the new adapter cable to allow them to work with a Fonality phone.

Q: Do the headsets come with a warranty?

A: Yes, they come with the manufacturer's 12 month warranty.

Q: Will these headsets work with legacy phones?

A: They will work with most legacy phones that have a RJ-9 type headset connector. Please see compatibility guide for more info.

Q: Does Fonality recommend any of the 4 headsets over the others? If so why?

A: Yes, while all 4 models have been tested for comfort, durability, and quality there are some reasons to choose the high priced premium in both wired and wireless categories. The premium wired and wireless headsets offer the customer the choice of having 1 earpiece or 2. If a customer has a particular preference not met by the standard options they should upgrade. The premium headsets are also slightly lighter and slightly higher quality.

Q: Are the headsets available for all customers?

A: Yes, the SKUs are in netsuite and priced the same as the FCS portal. However there are several SKUs for the headsets and adapters separately as well. A guide will be provided soon with instructions for netsuite orders.

Q: What cord goes with what phone?

A: The items are labeled clearly and come with the necessary cables. The cables are also labeled clearly for Polycom and/or Yealink phones.
