Decide when callers should be able to find you:
Always - your FindMe settings will always be respected - only whitelisted callers will be able to find you.
using a schedule - whitelisted callers will only be able to find you during the hours you specify using the scheduler.
using a schedule and HUD status - whitelisted callers will only be able to find you during the hours you specify using the scheduler only when you are marked as 'away' in HUD.
Configure the How to FindMe section with as many steps as you wish. Please pay special attention to which steps are And then: and which steps are At the same time: as this will have a large impact on how your FindMe settings work.Â
Configure the Who can FindMe :: White List. Add all individuals who should be able to find you to the "Contacts that can FindMe" section. NOTE: you can absolutely add external numbers. Click the "Add external phone number" link to begin.
(Optional) Configure your VIP list to allow certain individuals (family/friends) to find you outside of the hours specified by the scheduler.

Important Information Regarding Press-To-Accept With Analog Lines
Unfortunately, there is a limitation to analog telephony technology that prevents certain features of FindMe from working properly.
For example: Press-to-accept will not work if the call is forwarded to an external number using an analog line during the FindMe process.
Additionally, "How To FindMe" steps after a call is forwarded to an external number using an analog line will never execute, because of the nature of analog call handling. The call will instead be permanently forwarded to the external number until it is answered by a person, or a voicemail auto attendant.
