Network Connectivity - Enabling Overlap Dialing on a Sangoma Gateway

    Issue:

    In North America, Enbloc Dialing is the standard method for dialing numbers since the numbers are an established length. However International customers may request Overlap Dialing as phone number length may vary from nation to nation

     

    Solution:

    To enable Overlap Dialing on a Sangoma Gateway:

    1. After logging in as the gateway's admin user, navigate to the Configuration tab and select T1/E1.

    2. Select the tab of the port that you wish to enable Overlap Dialing. 

    3. In the Signaling section, click on Advanced: Signaling. This will open up a section of more advanced options for signaling. 

    4. In the Advanced: Signalling section, there is a pull-down menu for Overlap Dialing. Make sure the customer knows which setting their E1 service provider supports: Incoming, Outgoing, or Incoming and Outgoing.
