Network Connectivity - Unable to power up FXS module
If you have installed a Sangoma analog card with one or more FXS modules, it's possible you may encounter messages like the following:
wctdm24xxp 0000:03:08.0: ProSLIC on module 4 failed to powerup within 502 ms (0 mV only)
-- DID YOU REMEMBER TO PLUG IN THE HD POWER CABLE TO THE TDM CARD??
wctdm24xxp 0000:03:08.0: Unable to do INITIAL ProSLIC powerup on module 4
The above messages indicate that the FXS module is not getting power from the server.
It can be caused by some of the following:
Faulty power supply or power cable/connector inside the server
Not enough power being provided through the cable
Defective FXS module
Defective base analog card
The power cable not being plugged into the Molex connector on the analog card
If you have already confirmed that the power cable is in fact plugged into the Molex connector on the analog base card, here are some other steps to try in order to diagnose the cause of the issue.
Try another power cable/connector, to make sure that the connector or cable itself is not bad.
Test the cable to verify whether it is actually providing power.
If the problem is only occurring with some of your FXS modules but not others, try swapping the FXS modules around on the base card to see if the problem follows those modules.
Try re-seating the analog base card by removing it from the PCI or PCI-Express slot and reinserting it.
Try moving the analog card to a different PCI or PCI-Express slot if one is available, to be sure it is not a problem with that particular slot.
If the problem still persists after this, please contact Sangoma Technical Support at +1 256.428.6161 or open a support case through your user account at http://www.digium.com , and a support representative can assist you with troubleshooting the issue.
