Yes, the audio in a MeetMe conference is mixed in raw signed linear audio that will required encoding and decoding of the audio for each Asterisk channel that uses the G729 audio codec that will be connecting to the MeetMe conference. You'll also notice this when using the Page application which accomplishes paging by placing the called Asterisk channels into a MeetMe conference.
