Open Source - How to run an Asterisk Command Line Interface (ACLI) debug

The Asterisk Command Line Interface (ACLI) debug allows users and technical support to gather valuable data when troubleshooting a problem on the Switchvox system. To run an ACLI debug, follow the steps in this article. You will need to be logged on to the system as an administrator.

  1. Navigate to Server-Diagnostics-Advanced Debugging.

  2. Select the Start Debugging Session button.

  3. Then select Asterisk Command Line Interface from the list.

  4. In the Session Parameters screen you will want to enter the amount of time you would like the ACLI debug to run for in the Duration box. If the issue is easily reproducible then you will only want to run the debug for a short amount of time until the issue has been reproduced and then stop the debug. Otherwise, only run the acli debug in one hour increments.

  5. For the Verbosity setting, select 10 from the list.

  6. You will want to capture all messages unless otherwise instructed. To do this, click each button beside the message descriptions. They will change from NO to YES
