Open Source - Do I Need G729 Licenses for Channels Connected to a MeetMe Conference??

Q: Do I need a G729 license for G729 channels connected to a MeetMe conference? (or for using with the Page application)

A: Yes.  The audio in a MeetMe conference is mixed in raw signed linear which will require encoding and decoding of the audio for each Asterisk channel that uses the G.729 audio codec and that will be connecting to the MeetMe conference.

You'll also notice this when using the Page application which accomplishes paging by placing the called Asterisk channels into a MeetMe conference.
