Frequently Asked Questions
How do I avoid module expiry?
We recommend keeping all your module maintenance and support contracts current so that you always receive the latest feature and security updates from official Sangoma sources. What if I think this message is incorrect?
Please try reviewing all your module version and license information in the PBX GUI and Sangoma Portal to confirm the situation. You may also reinstall the module to the licensed version by executing from the command line:
fwconsole ma downloadinstall modulenameYou may also need to press the Apply Config button in the GUI
When did this maintenance requirement start?
Since the launch of FreePBX commercial modules in the early 2010s, there's always been a requirement to keep up with support and maintenance in order to continue to receive access to software support and updates. Additional technical improvements were added over the years to this underlying premise, such as the grace period in 2026.
