How to Find the IP Address

By Phone

  1. Press the Settings button.

  2. Scroll to Admin Tools and press the OK button.

  3. Use the Next button until you reach Network Settings and press the OK button.

  4. You will then be prompted to enter a password. By default, this is the model of the phone. For example, the password for a Mitel 5340 IP Phone would be 5340. Then press the Submit button.

  5. Use the Next button until you reach Phone IP Address and press the Review button.

  6. The IP Address of this device will now display on the screen.

How to Find the MAC Address

The MAC Address for your Mitel phone will display on a sticker on the back of the device.

How to Set the Configuration Server

By Phone

  1. Press the Settings button.

  2. Scroll to Admin Tools and press the OK button.

  3. Use the Next button until you reach Network Settings and press the OK button.

  4. You will then be prompted to enter a password. By default, this is the model of the phone. For example, the password for a Mitel 5340 IP Phone would be 5340. Then press the Submit button.

  5. Use the Next button until you reach TFTP Server and press the Review button.

  6. Lastly, press the Change button to edit the Config. When you are done press Submit.

By GUI

  1. Enter the IP Address into a local web browser address field.

  2. When prompted, enter “admin” as the user name. The password, by default, is the model of the phone. For example, the password for a Mitel 5340 IP Phone would be 5340.

  3. From the options on the left, under Admin Tools, click on Network Config.

  4. Under the heading "Additional Servers" you can edit the TFTP or HTTP fields. 

  5. Then under the heading "Advanced", select TFTP or HTTP from the field Use HTTP/TFTP Configuration files.

  6. Lastly, at the bottom of the page, press the Save and Reboot button. 

How to Restore to Factory Default

By Phone

  1. Hold down the "Super Key" (red) and power on the phone.

  2. Configure Phone: Press * for Yes

  3. Press # for No until you see Tools & Features, then press * for Yes.

  4. Press # for No until you see Restore Defaults, then press * for Yes.

  5. Press * for Yes to confirm.

  6. Press * for Yes to reboot (if asked).

Afterward you must set the Phone Mode.

  1.  Hold down the "Super Key" (red) and power on the phone.

  2. Configure Phone: Press * for Yes

  3. Press # for No until you see Phone Mode, then press * for Yes.

  4. Protocol: * for Yes

  5. You'll see that Phone Mode is set to Minet. Press * to Change.

  6. Press 0 to changed to SIP.

  7. Press # to Accept.

  8. Save Changes: * for Yes

  9. Reboot Now: * for Yes
