Phones - How do I register my Polycom VVX series phone to Switchvox with a feature pack?

  1. Make sure the phone is powered on and the network cable is plugged in.

  2. On the phone,select Settings-Advanced and then enter 456 for the password and select Enter.

  3. Select Administrative Settings.

  4. Select Network Configuration.

  5. Select Provisioning Server.

  6. Select DHCP Menu.

  7. Choose Boot Server and set it to Static.

  8. Now press the back button one time to go back to the Provisioning Server menu.

  9. Select Server Type from the menu and change the setting to HTTP.

  10. Select Server Address and enter the IP address of the Switchvox server, followed by /pc. (e.g. 192.168.1.1/pc)

  11. Back out of the menu and when prompted, choose Save Configuration. The phone will reboot.

  12. When the phone is finished rebooting, navigate to Setup-Phone Feature Packs in the Switchvox server.

  13. Locate the MAC address of the phone in the Unknown, or Unassigned Phones tab. If the phones MAC is in Unknown Phones tab you will need to check the box beside the phones MAC address and click the Confirm Checked Phones Button before completing the next step.

  14. In the Unconfigured Phones tab, click Modify and type in the Switchvox extension number that you are registering the phone to. The phone will reboot.

  15. Click the check box next to the MAC address of the phone in the Unconfigured Phones tab, and then click the Confirm Checked Phones button. This will cause the phone to reboot again.

  16. Navigate to Server-Connection Status-SIP Phones tab after the phone reboots. The system should list the extension as registered.
