Phones - What can I check if Digium phones are timing out?

If you are having an issue where your Digium phones time out contacting proxy, some register then time out later, or they don't register at all, you can modify this section and it may help with the issue:

  1. In Switchvox, go to Server > Phone Networks

  2. Check to see if there are a lot of phone networks (over 10)

  3. If there are, try to consolidate them to a smaller number of phone networks (For example, rather than 3 different phone networks for 10.1.1.x/22, 10.1.5.x/22, and 10.1.3.x/22, just use 1 phone network for 10.1.0.0/16 to cover all of them)

  4. Go to Server > IP Configuration > Advanced Options > Additional Local Networks and do the same if the IP ranges are listed there

We have seen that too many Phone Networks in Switchvox can cause issues with Digium phones trying to register.
