Phones - Why Does My Polycom Phone Message Light Blink When There Is No Message Waiting?

To stop the blinking light, follow these steps:
Disable One Touch Voicemail

1. Log into the web admin of the Polycom phone. 

2. Type IP Address into a browser. Username is Polycom, password is 456 (default).

3. The web Interface will display. Go to General > User Preferences. Set One touch voicemail radio button to Disabled, then click Submit.

4. The phone will restart. When it comes back up press the Messages button on the phone, and it will display all the folders in your mail box. Press the Clear button even if it shows 0 messages.

Leave a voicemail

1. Call the extension and leave a message.

2. Then place a call from the phone into the voicemail box of the extension, and delete the new message.
