Bluetooth Headsets

Bluetooth Headset functionality is available for the following models of telephone only:

  • P330 (firmware 4_3_2 and greater)

  • P370 (firmware 4_8_2 and greater)

  • D80 (firmware 1_4_1 and greater)

  • D65 (all firmware releases)

Sangoma supports Headset Profile (HSP) for Bluetooth devices. Sangoma utilizes different Bluetooth radios and signaling stacks across its telephones; so, while unlikely because all radios conform to regular Bluetooth HSP standards, minor differences in performance could exist between D6x, D80, and P-Series telephones. The wide variety of HSP-compatible devices on the market means that Sangoma is unable to perform validation against all of them. Instead, Sangoma has performed interoperability testing against the following devices for the sake of general compatibility:

Poly:

  • Voyager Legend

  • M70

Jabra:

  • Motion

  • Mini

Sennheiser:

  • MB 660 UC (non-D80 requires 2.7.2+)

  • Presence

  • MB Pro 1 UC

  • MB Pro 2 UC

USB Headsets

USB Headset functionality is available for the following models of telephone only:

P320, P325, P330, and P370 (firmware 4_5_0 and greater)

Sangoma supports USB headsets for audio and call control via the rear USB port on most P-Series telephones. Sangoma supports USB-HID for device connectivity but does not perform any call control for any non-Sangoma USB headsets, nor does Sangoma perform any testing of any non-Sangoma USB headsets. Any performance of any non-Sangoma USB-connected headsets is purely coincidental and is untested or maintained by Sangoma. The following USB headsets are supported:

Sangoma:

  • HC100 monaural over-the-head corded USB-A headset (SKU: 1TELHC120LF)

  • HC120 binaural over-the-head corded USB-A headset (SKU: 1TELHC100LF)

Electronic Hook Switch (EHS)

Electronic Hook Switch signaling compatibility is available for for the following models of Sangoma telephones:

D40, D45, D50, D70 (firmware 1_3_0_0_53680 and greater)
D60, D62, D65 (all firmware releases)
D80 (firmware 1_0_3 and greater)
P310, P315, P320, P325, P330, P370 (all firmware releases)

With EHS, audio is carried via the regular 4P4C headset connector and the signaling (hook state) is carried via specialized cables (acquired separately) connected to the headset base and the EHS port on the rear of the Sangoma telephone. The EHS signaling is specific to the manufacturer of the headset. All Sangoma D and P-series telephones utilize the same EHS cabling and provide the same EHS electrical interface and have the same EHS control / signaling software running on the telephone. In addition to its own EHS headsets, Sangoma supports Poly and JabraIQ signaling protocols for EHS control. EHS signaling control compatibility with one model of Sangoma telephone means compatibility with any model of Sangoma telephone. The wide variety of headsets produced by Poly and Jabra mean that Sangoma is not able to test across all of them. Sangoma has, however, performed interoperability testing with the following models, and where these vendors support their own EHS signaling protocols and have not created any backwards incompatible changes, all other models from these vendors that support EHS should be expected to work. The following vendors and models are tested:

Sangoma:

  • Sangoma H10 wireless DECT monaural over-the-head headset (various SKUs for various regions) with Sangoma EHS cable (SKU: 1TELHC01LF) 

  • Sangoma H20 wireless DECT monaural over-the-head headset (various SKUs for various regions) with Sangoma EHS cable (SKU: 1TELHC01LF)

Poly:

  • CS500 series headsets with APP-51 cable, including CS510, CS520, CS530 and CS540 models

  • Savi 700 series headsets with APP-51 cable, including W710, W720, W730, W740 and W745 models

  • CS50/CS55 Wireless Headset with APP-5 Cable - discontinued

Jabra:

  • PRO 9400 series headsets with Jabra Link 14201-17 cable, including 9450, 9460, 9465, and 9470 models

  • GO 6470 with Jabra Link 14201-17 cable

 

Compatible with models A20, A22, A25, A30, all released firmwares.

Poly:

  • CS500 series with APD-80 cable, including CS510, CS520, CS530 and CS540 models

  • Savi 700 series with APD-80 cable, including W710, W720, W730, W740 and W745 models

 

Compatible with models D40, D45, D50, D70, firmware 1_1_3_0_52406 and earlier.

Poly:

  • CS55 Wireless Headset with APP-5 Cable

  • CS540 Wireless Headset(with APP-51 Cable

Audio-only

Audio-only headset compatibility is available for the following models of Sangoma telephones:

D40, D45, D50, D70 (all firmware)
D60, D62, D65 (all firmware releases)
D80 (all firmware releases)
P310, P315, P320, P325, P330, P370 (all firmware releases)
A20, A22, A25, A30 (all firmware releases)

Audio-only headset compatibility is achieved using the regular 4P4C headset connector found on all Sangoma telephones. No signaling is carried across the audio-only connection and all call management must be performed using the on-screen and telephone audio path controls. Compatibility certainly exists for models outside of these, and all EHS-compatible headsets listed above can be used as audio-only; however, Sangoma has tested the following models for interoperability:

Other Notes

Sangoma's D-Series and P-Series telephones are not compatible with handset lifters. Handset lifters will lift the receiver (speaker) end of the handset. Sangoma's handsets require that the microphone end of the handset be removed from the cradle in order to be registered as off-hook.
