How To Factory Reset and Provision a Cisco SPA8000

Introduction

This procedure covers the steps necessary to Factory reset and provision a Cisco SPA8000 in the field after factory reset.

Cisco SPA8000

  1. Insert an analog phone or butt set into the phone port of the box

  2. From the keypad, dial four asterisks ****. You will hear a recorded voice asking you to input the option followed by the pound # key.

  3. Dial 73738# from the phone. This will factory reset the SPA8000

  4. Make sure LAN3 of the StarBox is connected to the SPA8000 and boot the SPA8000.

  5. Connect the Aux port of the Cisco SPA8000 to the LAN port of your laptop and open a browser to URL http:\\192.168.0.1

  6. In the upper right hand corner click on Admin Login, then click on advanced

  7. Click WAN Setup

  8. Go down to VLAN Settings Enable VLAN = Yes VLAN ID = 41
