How to find out if a customer has SIP trunking service

A customer with a SIP trunking service account will have one or more subscriptions under his company account name, please note that these entries will be present only when the service has been activated. You could also have customers who may be inquiring about their order status, this will be cover later in this KB article. 
 

 

Locating subscription by 

  1. Subscription ID or Name (Currently not working)

Subscription ID or Name is a 10 digit number preceded by S (Examples 1234567890). Querying the subscription in Salesforce should allow you to get the account name, start date and any related services attached to the subcription. 

  1. Company or Customer account 

If a customer is unable to provide the subscription id, you will need to look for the customer account name, you can use Company name, phone number or email address. Once you have located the customer account, you should be able to have access to the company account in which you should be able to see their active subscription

Please note that subscription are only present the service has been activated, the customer may have an order that is still processing.  

  1. Activation Case or Order ID 

If a customer has recently placed an order, they should have activation case or order number. You can find the cases by looking under their company or customer account.
