Business Voice - Portal - Location Information Guide

Overview
The Location Information and Additional Location Information links provides access to detailed information about your system. The location is automatically created once a quote is finalized. Follow the steps below to enter/modify Location address information, Billing Contact information, Business Hours/Schedule, After Hours Contacts and a number of key system features e.g. Directory Sort Order (you can set this option to play the directory to callers by First Name or Last Name), Multi-Location Directory (you can configure the system to play the directory to callers for all locations associated with your system), Announce Extension on Directory (this announces the selected directory entry to the caller), Key System Mode (Call Park and Retrieval using visible shared park positions on certain phone types), Park Positions (select the number of park positions required), Enable Personal Authorization Codes (authorization code is required when dialing out), Enable Advanced Scheduling (Create detailed routing rules for your DIDs / Numbers).
Location Information
Access the Business Voice portal and select the CONFIGURATION option at the top of the page.
Search and Select the required location.
Select the Location Information or Additional Location Information link in the left side menu.

The Location status page has 4 main areas:
Location status
Partner information: displays information about the installing partner
StarBox status: (Business Voice+ locations only) Provides basic information about the StarBox including the model, MAC address, software version, the last time it was rebooted and WAN addresses. On the top right of this box is also an option to view the installation notes and leave additional location based notes as needed
Extensions status: This summarizes all the extensions at that location into 3 categories:
On: Currently Active
Off: Activated, but currently offline
Critical: Never been activated/ or online
To display all extensions, click the in the top right corner of the Extension Status box and you will be taken to a new viewing page with additional details
Location inventory
Phone Numbers: displays in a simple donut chart all the assigned and unassigned numbers for that location. Hovering over either of the areas will provide a numerical value as well. In the top right corner of the box, is a link that redirects the user to the Call Routing page
Phones: displays all the devices currently assigned to that location. In the top right corner of the Phones box is a link to download an Asset list as a .pdf
Location performance: (Business Voice+ locations only) This section gives users the ability to view the overall performance of voice at their location. Using the dropdown menus, users can view performance over the last 4 hours, last day, week, month or year. The graph on the right side of the box also shows Calls in Progress for the same time ranges
Location activity: Displays the last 5 calls made from that location. In the top right corner is a link to go to the Reports page.
Location Information
Update the Service Address and/or Billing Contact information.
Click Save Changes at the bottom of this page to save any changes.
Additional location information
Note: Departmental Parks is currently only available with Business Voice +.
① Enable Personal Authorization Codes?: Select Yes to enable Personal Authorization Codes.
② Interoffice Prefix: This is the prefix that a user at another office location would dial to reach an extension at this location.
③ Enable Advanced Scheduling: Set to Yes to create complex routing rules for a 7-day week.
④ Allow dialing out from Voicemail?: When checked, this option will allow
extensions to dial out from voice mail.
Note: the level of outbound access mirrors that which is set in the Extensions settings in the Sangoma Business Voice Portal.
⑤ Play Find Me / Follow Me Announcement:
Yes = Plays the full informative message "Please hold while the Sangoma system activates Find-me/Follow-me to locate your party."
No = Removes all call progress messages
Short Version = Plays a short message "Please hold while I try to locate your party."
⑥ Enhanced CallerID: This is only available on some models. Consult your partner or documentation for details.
⑦ Directory Sort Order: Select First or Last Name.
⑧ Announce Extension on Directory: Set to Yes to announce the selected extension user to the caller.
⑨ Multi-Location Directory: Set to Yes to allow callers to search the Directory on all systems associated with your location.
⑩ Multicast Paging: Efficient local paging supported with some models.
⑪ Show 5-Digit Extensions/Show 6-digit Extensions: Select Yes to add the interoffice prefix to display a 5 or 6 digit extension in a multi-location setup.
⑫ Key System Mode?: Select Yes to enable Key System Mode.
⑬ Departmental Parks?:
Yes - Create parking lots by departments.
No - to have a single parking lot.
⑭ Park Positions: Enter the number of allowed park positions.
⑮ Custom VLAN: Enter VLAN ID of 2 to 41 or 44 to 1020 for this location.
⑯ DTMF Mode: Default, Normalized, or Passthrough.
⑰ Primary Contact: This is used to define who to contact in the event support is needed outside of the normal business hours. This info is also used for sending Starwatch notifications.
⑱ Business Hours: Set the business hours here. To create multiple schedules associated with DID 's/Numbers, see Incoming Call Routing to add schedules.
Note: This schedule is not used for incoming call routing if the Advanced Scheduling feature is enabled.
⑲ Maintenance Window: The default schedule is based on the business hours defined above. Be careful when customizing, as it may render phones inoperable during business hours.
⑳ After Hours Contact: Are the people who will be contacted in the event users need support outside of normal business hours. The email addresses of the primary contact and any additional contacts are also used to send outage notifications via Sangoma’s Starwatch system.
㉑ Save Changes: Save the changes.
