Overview

We’re excited to share that Sangoma is transitioning all StarPhone for Desktop and StarPhone for Mobile users to our modern and feature-rich communications apps, TeamHub Talk.

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance and simplify our product portfolio, StarPhone for Desktop and StarPhone for Mobile will be End of Life on December 31, 2025, with a complete End of Service by May 05, 2026.  After these dates, StarPhone for Desktop and StarPhone for Mobile will no longer be supported or functional in the Business Voice Portal; remaining users will be migrated to TeamHub Talk.

StarPhone for Desktop to TeamHub Talk Transition

TeamHub Talk is fully integrated into TeamHub, Sangoma’s unified collaboration platform. It includes everything available in StarPhone for Desktop and much more! Your customers retain familiar calling features like 3-way calling and extension dialing, plus gain access to powerful tools such as video conferencing with Sangoma Meet.

We recommend reviewing your user base to identify active StarPhone for Desktop users and enabling a TeamHub extension for each. Transitioning early minimizes disruption and keeps users up to date with Sangoma’s evolving platform.

StarPhone for Mobile to TeamHub Transition

For StarPhone Mobile users, the TeamHub Mobile App for iOS and Android offers a more robust communication experience for making calls and collaborating with coworkers. TeamHub Talk also includes these additional features:

  • Sangoma Meet - This function allows users to start an online meeting using the Sangoma Meet App.

  • Call Forwarding - The Call Forward feature lets users easily enable call forwarding for different scenarios.

We recommend reviewing your user base to identify active StarPhone for Mobile users and enabling a TeamHub extension for each. Transitioning early minimizes disruption and keeps users up to date with Sangoma’s evolving platform. 

How to Switch Users to TeamHub

Switching users over can be accomplished in just two simple steps.

  1. For each StarPhone extension, you are ready to switch to TeamHub, log in to the Business Voice Portal, and change the phone's extension type to "TeamHub Extension".

  2. Have the user review the TeamHub - Mobile App User Guide for installation and user instructions.
