Business Voice - Reports Disposition Codes

The Business Voice/ Business Voice Plus platform uses disposition codes to indicate why a call ended, whether it was answered, missed, busy, failed or terminated for another reason. Here is a list of most commonly used codes on the system and what they mean in BV Reports:

ALLOTTED_TIMEOUT

Timeout

The server canceled the call because the destination channel took too long to answer

ATTENDED_TRANSFER

Attended Transfer

Connection to the transfer destination to let the recipient answer before the call is passed along

BLIND_TRANSFER

Blind Transfer

Immediate pass through of a received call to intended destination

CALL_AWARDED_DELIVERED

Call Awarded Delivered

The user is granted the incoming call and the call is being connected to an already established channel for that user

CALL_REJECTED

Call Rejected

May be caused by end user proactively rejecting to accept the call OR may be network generated due to service constraints

LOSE_RACE

Lose Race

When two numbers are called simultaneously and one connects before the other

NO_ANSWER

Missed Call

The call reaches its destination, but is not answered within the allotted time

NO_USER_RESPONSE

Missed Call

The call reaches its destination, but is not answered within the allotted time

NORMAL_CLEARING

Inbound/ Outbound Call

This is a typical code denoting that the call has reached it's destination as intended

NORMAL_TEMPORARY_FAILURE

Temporary Failure

The network is not functioning correctly and that the condition is not likely to last a long period of time

NORMAL_UNSPECIFIED

Normal Unspecified

Used to report a normal event when no other causes in the normal class apply

ORIGINATOR_CANCEL

Caller Disconnected

The request has been terminated by bye or cancel

PICKED_OFF

Intercepted from Another Extension

the call was picked up by intercepting it from another extension (i.e. dialing **ext_number from another extension)

PROGRESS_TIMEOUT

Timeout

The endpoint (carrier or device) failed to progress to early media, ringing, or answering the call within the allotted time

RECOVERY_ON_TIMER_EXPIRE

Timeout

Time-out reached during request

REDIRECTION_TO_NEW_DESTINATION

Redirection to New Destination

Used by an exchange to decide that the call should be set up to a different call number

SUBSCRIBER_ABSENT

Missing Subscriber

When a user/device is temporarily not addressable. This may be because the extension no longer exists or a device is unregistered

USER_BUSY

User Busy

Indicates that the called party is unable to accept another call
